Which RAID array should you use for Analysis Services

(Free Tip)

SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services (or SQL Server 7 OLAP Server) use Data folder for storing multidimensional databases and their sub-components. Base on you budget you should move this folder from it's default location  on local hard-drive (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\Data) to RAID 10, RAID 1 + 0 or at least RAID 5.

The server uses Temporary folder for supplementing memory during aggregations. That folder is also by default set to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Analysis Services\Data (local hard drive). You should try to move it to RAID 10, 0 + 1, or 0 based on your budget constraints.
